Mortgage rates down for second week in a row

There’s always good news when the news are bad. The 30-year fixed-rate mortgage averaged 6.14% with a 0.7 point on average for the week ending yesterday. Last week it averaged 6.20%. We’re also about the same place we were last year at this time, when the 30-year fixed-rate mortgage averaged 6.24%.
