Mortgage applications and rates hold steady from last week

According to the Mortgage Bankers Association the number of mortgage applications filed last week was essentially unchanged from the week before. Rates dipped slightly: 30-year fixed-rate mortgages decreased to 5.03% from 5.04% and 15-year fixed-rate mortgages decreased to 4.79% from 4.91%.
