Existing-home sales increased in February

The NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS® reported yesterday that existing-home sales increased in February, also reversing losses in January. Sales — including single-family, townhomes, condominiums and co-ops — rose 5.1%. The seasonally adjusted annual rate was 4.72 million units in February, up from 4.49 million units in January. The numbers are still 4.6% below the 4.95 million-unit level in February 2008.
