Home prices increased in January Roberto For the first time in 10 months, home prices increased 1.7% in January according to a report of the Federal Housing Finance Agency. This agency only reports prices for conforming properties with mortgages backed by Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. Some critics were skeptical about the data because the report excludes expensive homes with subprime loans and jumbo mortgages, but in any case I believe it is piece of good news for the market.
