Mortgage applications still rising

According to the Mortgage Bankers Association’s weekly survey, applications continued to rise as home owners take advantage of low rates to refinance and more buyers enter the market. Some of this is probably fueled by the normal rise in business we see in the Spring every year.

Mortgage rates slightly rose, but fixed rates remained below 5 percent: 30-year fixed-rate mortgages increased to 4.73% from 4.61%.
